Ensign Ready was a crew member of a Naval aircraft flying out of the Naval Air Station, Key West, Florida. On April 25, 1951, his aircraft struck a four-engine commercial transport enroute from Miami to Havana, Cuba. Four Naval crewman and 23 American civilians perished.
