Notes
Corporal Uvalle was a member of Company I, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. On October 4, 1951, he was a the point man of a combat patrol assaulting two enemy bunkers near Hill 1073, North Korea. After the bunkers were destroyed and the patrol returned, he was discovered Missing in Action. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
