Sergeant Zurn was a member of Company E, 2nd Battalion, 65th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while defending his position on "Outpost Harry", Hill 412, North Korea on June 14, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
