ABMC Receives Preservation Honor Award from Historic Hawai’i Foundation

Published May 31, 2013

The American Battle Monuments Commission received a 2013 Preservation Honor Award from the Historic Hawai’i Foundation for exemplary achievement in the field of historic preservation at the 39th Annual Preservation Honor Awards ceremony for the Vietnam Pavilion at the Honolulu Memorial, located within the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. The design maintained the historic character and integrity of the original Memorial and adds to it in a way that honors the original intent without detracting from the historic setting.
