Corporal Hung was a member of the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded in North Korea on June 2, 1951 and returned to duty on June 14, 1951. He was seriously wounded again on September 16, 1951 and returned on September 23, 1951. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on October 10, 1951.
