Corporal Gallo was a member of the 452nd Motor Vehicle Squadron, 452nd Bomb Wing. On December 18, 1951, he was driving a weapons carrier near Pusan East Airfield (K-9), South Korea when the vehicle left the road and overturned on an embankment killing him.
