Renovation Work Underway at Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery

Published November 16, 2015

Beginning on November 16, 2015 the visitor building at Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery will be closed due to major renovation work. Cemetery staff will relocate to a temporary building that will be in front of the memorial building. Direct communication (phone and email) and the availability of cemetery staff will be limited on November 16 and 17 due to the relocation of office space.

The map room within the memorial building will be closed to the public on November 18, 2015. During the duration of the project, there will be other occasional disruptions to the operating hours of the map room, however, these will be minimal. Cemetery staff will work to accommodate visitors as best as possible during these minor disruptions.

Other areas of the cemetery will not be impacted during this work.

Work is expected to be complete in April 2016.
