Notes
Corporal Alvarez was a member of Company M, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was died of wounds while withdrawing from the east side of the Chosin Reservoir on November 30, 1950. His remains were recovered and identified on August 17, 2011. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
