Corporal Becker was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Prisoner of War Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes
Corporal Becker was a member of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in North Korea on December 1, 1950 and died while a prisoner on May 20, 1951. CPL Becker's remains were recovered on September 8, 1954 and identified on February 6, 2007. His name permanently is inscribed on the Korean War Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
