Notes
Corporal Braun was a member of Company L, 3rd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near Chipyong, South Korea on February 14, 1951 and died at Suan Prisoner of War Camp on May 31, 1951 of exhaustion and injury. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
