Eustace G. Buchanan was born in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1893. He was an Ordinary Seaman, greaser, U.S. Merchant Marine aboard the "SS ULUA" a United Fruit Company ship during World War II. He became ill with pneumonia when his ship was at Tela, Honduras. He was evacuated to the Tela Railroad Company Hospital where he died on April 28, 1942. He was buried at the Municipal Cemetery at New Tela. After the war He was disinterred and buried at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1946.
