Notes
Sergeant Burgess was a member of Battery B, 38th Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near Kunu-ri, North Korea on November 30, 1950 and died while a prisoner on December 15, 1950. His remains were recovered on October 15, 2004 and identified on October 20, 2005. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
