Notes
Sergeant Carlson was a member of the 25th Reconnaissance Company, 25th Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in South Korea on January 4, 1951 and died while at Suan Prisoner of War Camp in North Korea on April 30, 1951. His remains were recovered on June 24, 1991 and identified on April 28, 2011. His name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
