Private First Class Hoysradt was a member of the 1st Platoon, Company C, 2nd Chemical Mortar Battalion. His position was overrun near Kunari, North Korea on November 26, 1950 and he was listed as Missing in Action. He was presumed dead on March 2, 1954. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
