For his leadership and valor, Private First Class La Rossa was awarded the Bronze Star, the Army Commendation Ribbon, the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

Notes
Private First Class La Rossa was a member of Company L, 3rd Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy near Hoengsong, South Korea on February 13, 1951. He was presumed dead on January 11, 1954. PFC La Rossa's remains have recovered and identified in 2014. His name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
