Private First Class Lydolph was a member of Headquarters Company, 2nd Engineer Combat Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in Korea on November 30, 1950. He died of pneumonia in Prisoner of War Camp 2, North Korea on May 18, 1951.
