Private First Class Miller was a member of Company G, 2nd Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. On November 27, 1950, while defending his position near Kunu-ri, North Korea against the Chinese onslaught, his position was overrun and he was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
