Notes
Captain Mulcahy was the commander of Company C, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was leading an attack on enemy positions on a hill near Nujonggol, North Korea on July 29, 1951 when he was struck by enemy small arms fire and died instantly.
