Notes
Private Putzier was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 29th Infantry Regimental Combat Team. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near Chinju, South Korea on July 27, 1950. He died of malaria during a death march north on October 14, 1950 and was buried at Pyongyang, Korea. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
