Corporal Quintero was awarded the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes

Corporal Quintero was a member of Battery D, 15th Anti-Aircraft Artillery (Automatic Weapons) Battalion, 7th Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy near the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea on December 2, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. At the time, his remains were not recovered. Through the work of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, the remains of Albert E. Quintero were accounted for in 2018. His name is permanently inscribed in the “Courts of the Missing” at the Honolulu Memorial.
