Notes
Corporal Romero was a member of Company I, 3rd Battalion, 5th Infantry Regimental Combat Team. While attacking enemy positions near Chup'a-ri, North Korea on August 3, 1951, he was seriously wounded. He leaned against a stump and continued his devastating fire until he succumbed to his wounds.
