Specialist Fourth Class Rymarczuk was a member of Company C, 3rd Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was killed by North Korean infiltrators in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) during a night ambush on July 30, 1968.
