Notes
Sergeant Tatarakis was a member of the 8240th Army Unit, Korean Military Assistance Group (KMAG). On February 19, 1952, he was a passenger in a C-46D Commando transport on a night insertion mission. A double agent detonated a hand grenade before bail out, killing four on board. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on July 25, 1954. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
