Specialist, Fourth Class Wright was a member of Battery A, 1st Battalion, 44th Artillery Regiment. On February 21, 1967, he was manning a listening post near Dong Ha, Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam. He left the post to inspect the security fence and never returned. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
