First Lieutenant Barrett was awarded the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean Defense Service Medal.
Notes
First Lieutenant Barrett was a member of the United Nations Command Joint Observation Team. He was killed by North Koreans in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) while clearing trees in insure visual observation on August 18, 1976.
